Over the last few months, the Surrey Safeguarding Adults Board (SSAB) has been collaborating closely with partners across various sectors to continue raising awareness around Safeguarding Adults within Surrey.
Safeguarding Adults week took place between Monday 20th November – Sunday 26th November and the Board collectively worked with partners to raise awareness of important safeguarding issues.
The Board continues to lead and co-ordinate communication and engagement activity
across National Safeguarding Adults Week and during the week, we were able to visit various locations across Surrey to host stalls and meet individuals and enable them to feel more confident in recognising the signs of abuse and neglect and reporting safeguarding concerns. In alignment with Safeguarding Adults Week, the SSAB held a virtual conference which designed to help individuals from frontline practitioners to senior managers understand an a variety of adult safeguarding topics, providing an opportunity for partners to refresh their commitment to adult safeguarding and grow their networks. A significant outcome of the conference was the ability to highlight the 4 key priorities within our strategic plan.
